The Episcopal Church Women meet the second Sunday of each month (September through May) following the 11 a.m. service in ECW Hall (unless otherwise noted). All meetings are open to any woman at St. Timothy's. The mission of the group is to bring the women of the church together through fellowship opportunities that enhance spiritual growth, provide education and encourage participation in community outreach projects.
On September 12, 2010, all women of St Timothy's are invited to enjoy the fellowship of your sisters in Christ. Please bring a salad or a dessert to share for the noon luncheon in ECW Hall.
THE WOMEN'S RETREAT
The St. Timothy’s Women’s retreat is an annual event where all the wonderful women of our parish are invited to attend a gathering for fellowship, spiritual growth and rejuvenation.
The 2010 Women’s Retreat was held April 23-25 at Laurel Ridge Camp, Conference and Retreat Center in the beautiful North Carolina mountains. This was the first year that we had to reschedule our retreat because of snow and ice in February when we had originally planned to go! So what did we do on our retreat weekend? Lynda Sanecki and Dale Link brought all our craft supplies and gave instructions for our projects. We made prayer flags that we hung outside where we could watch our prayers being carried up to heaven by gentle winds and we made fleece blankets that were donated to the women’s shelter when we returned from our retreat. Christin Barnhardt provided beautiful musical leadership; Sylvia Savage lead us quietly through Compline each evening; and our Daughters of the King lead our prayers all throughout the weekend. The Rev. Christie Barker guided us through our program about Women of God. We learned about women in the Bible as well as important women in Christian history. She even got us to do group skits about some of these women!! The program was educational and entertaining! The weekend also offered time for fun, relaxation, and fellowship.
